Initiator (Faater)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan) before Mary (Maryam)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Praise be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who appointeth the angels messengers having wings two, three and four. He multiplieth in creation what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. (1) No one can withhold the mercy which Allah opens to mankind; and whatever He withholds so after it, none can release it; and only He is the Most Honourable, the Wise. (2) O men! call to mind the favor of Allah on you; is there any creator besides Allah who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? There is no god but He; whence are you then turned away? (3) And if they call you a liar, truly apostles before you were called liars, and to Allah are all affairs returned. (4) People, the promise of Allah is true, so do not let this present life delude you, and do not let the deluder (satan) delude you about Allah. (5) Lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire. (6) [seeing that] for those who are bent on denying the truth there is suffering severe in store, just as for those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds there is forgiveness of sins, and a great reward. (7)
