Initiator (Faater)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan) before Mary (Maryam)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Praise be to Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who appointeth the angels messengers having wings two, three and four. He multiplieth in creation what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. (1) Whatever Mercy Allah accords to people, none can withhold; and whatever He withholds, no other will be able to release after Him. He is Most Mighty, Most Wise. (2) People, remember the bounty of God that He has granted to you. Is their any creator besides God who could provide you with sustenance from the heavens and the earth? He is the only God. Where then can you turn away? (3) If they reject you, other Messengers had certainly been rejected before you. All decisions are in the hands of God. (4) O mankind! Verily, the Promise of Allah is true. So let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allah. (5) Behold, Satan is a foe unto you: so treat him as a foe. He but calls on his followers to the end that they might find themselves among such as are destined for the blazing flame (6) For those who are unbelievers, there is severe punishment; but for those who believe and do the right is forgiveness and a great reward. (7)
