Sheba (Saba)
54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Luqmaan (Luqmaan) before The Throngs (Al-Zumer)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
All praise is to Allah to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth and His is the praise in the Hereafter; and He is the Wise, the All Aware. (1) He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He alone is a dispenser of grace, truly-forgiving. (2) The unbelievers say: "There is no coming of the Hour for us." Say: "Why not? By my Lord, the knower of the unknown, it will certainly come for you. Not even an atom's weight in the heavens and the earth, or something smaller or greater than it, is hidden from Him, and which is not recorded in the all-too-manifest Book, (3) that He may recompense those who believe, and do righteous deeds; theirs shall be forgiveness and generous provision. (4) As for those who worked against Our Signs in order to frustrate them, they shall suffer a painful chastisement. (5) And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to thee from thy Lord - that is the Truth, and that it guides to the Path of the Exalted (in might), Worthy of all praise. (6) The unbelievers say, 'Shall we point you to a man who will tell you, when you have been utterly torn to pieces, then you shall be in a new creation?' (7) He has forged a lie against Allah or there is madness in him. Nay! those who do not believe in the hereafter are in torment and in great error. (8) Do they not see how the heavens and the earth encompass them from the front and the rear? We could, if We so wished, cause the earth to swallow them or let fragments of the sky fall upon them. Verily there is a Sign in this for every servant (of Allah) who penitently turns to Him. (9)
