Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon) before The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif-Lam-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) (1) The sending down of the Book in which there is no doubt that is from the Lord of the Worlds. (2) Or do they say, "He has forged it"? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that they may receive guidance. (3) It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two, in six days, and then He established Himself on the Throne. You have no guardian or intercessor other than He. Will you, then, not take heed? (4) He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. (5) He knows the unseen and the seen. He is Majestic and All-merciful. (6) He Who excelled in the creation of all that He created. He originated the creation of man from clay, (7) then He made his offspring from a clot of weak water (semen). (8) Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. (9) And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. (10) ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' (11)
