In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. (1) These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, (2) Guidance and mercy for the righteous. (3) Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. (4) Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. (5) And of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. These! for them shall be a torment ignominious. (6) When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! (7) For those who believe and work righteous deeds, there will be Gardens of Bliss,- (8) Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (9) He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. (10) Such is the creation of Allah; now show me what, other than Him, created! No, the harmdoers are in clear error. (11)
