34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. (1) These are revelations of the wise Scripture, (2) As guidance and mercy for the doers of good (3) Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. (4) Those are guided by their Lord and will surely prosper. (5) But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. (6) And when Our verses are recited to him he haughtily turns away as if he did not hear them as if there is deafness in his ears; so give him the glad tidings of a painful punishment. (7) Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. (8) Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (9) He created the heavens without any supports visible to you, and cast mountains as anchors into the earth so that it may not shake with you, and spread all kinds of beasts in it; and We sent down water from the sky so thereby grew all kinds of refined pairs in it. (10) this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. (11)
