Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif Lam Mim (1) These are verses of the wise Book. (2) a guidance and mercy for the doers of good, (3) Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter. (4) these are rightly guided by their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. (5) But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. (6) When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! (7) The righteously striving believers will enter Paradise (8) To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. (9) He [it is who] has created the skies without any supports that you could see, and has placed firm mountains upon the earth, lest it sway with you, and has caused all manner of living creatures to multiply thereon. And We send down water from the skies, and thus We cause every noble kind [of life] to grow on earth. (10) This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. (11)
