Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
ALIF LAM MIM. (1) These are the verses of the Wise Book, (2) for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers (3) who establish Prayer and pay Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (4) They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. (5) And of mankind is one who purchaseth an idle discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and taketh it by way of mockery. These! for them shall be a torment ignominious. (6) When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. (7) Indeed those who believed and did good deeds for them are Gardens of serenity. (8) to abide therein in accordance with God's true promise: for He alone is almighty, truly wise. (9) He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind. (10) This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. (11)
