Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
34 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat) before Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. (1) These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, (2) A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, (3) Those who establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity, and have (in their hearts) the assurance of the Hereafter. (4) It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. (5) (In an attempt to show that God's revelations are only ancient legends) some people pay for meaningless tales to draw others attention away from the Quran without knowledge and treat as a matter of fun. They will suffer a humiliating torment. (6) When Our verses are recited to him, he turns his back in pride, as though he never heard them, and in his ears was heaviness. Give glad tidings to him of a painful punishment! (7) Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. (8) wherein they will abide forever. That is God's true promise; He is the Mighty, the Wise One. (9) He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. (10) Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. (11)
