Corruption has appeared in the land and sea, for that men's own hands have earned, that He may let them taste some part of that which they have done, that haply so they may return. (41) Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): Travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for those who were before you! Most of them were idolaters. (42) So set thy face to the true religion before there comes a day from God that cannot be turned back; on that day they shall be sundered apart. (43) Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing, (44) So that God may reward those who believed and did what was good, by His grace. Surely He does not love unbelievers. (45) And of His signs is that He looses the winds, bearing good tidings and that He may let you taste of His mercy, and that the ships may run at His commandment, and that you may seek His bounty; haply so you will be thankful. (46) Verily We sent many apostles before you to their people, who brought clear signs with them. Then We retributed those who were sinful. It is a duty incumbent on Us to help the believers. (47) Allah is He Who sends the winds, so they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He will, lo! they rejoice! (48) Though they were before this, before it was sent down upon them, confounded in sure despair. (49) So behold the marks of God's mercy, how He quickens the earth after it was dead; surely He is the quickener of the dead, and He is powerful over everything. (50) And if We send a wind, and they should see their tilth yellow, then they would thereafter remain disbelieving. (51) You [Prophet] cannot make the dead hear and you cannot make the deaf hear your call when they turn their backs and leave; (52) Nor can you lead away the blind out of their error. You cannot make to hear any but those who believe in Our communications so they shall submit. (53)
