Evil has become rife on the land and at sea because of men's deeds; this in order that He may cause them to have a taste of some of their deeds; perhaps they will turn back (from evil). (41) Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of those that were before; most of them were idolaters.' (42) [Prophet], set your face to the right religion, before that Day comes from God which cannot be averted. On that Day, mankind will be parted in two. (43) Those who disbelieve do so against their own souls. Those who do good pave the way for their own benefit. (44) So that God may reward those who believed and did what was good, by His grace. Surely He does not love unbelievers. (45) Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,- that the ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful. (46) And indeed We sent several Noble Messengers before you, to their nations so they came to them with clear signs We therefore took revenge from the guilty; and it is incumbent upon Our mercy, to help the Muslims. (47) It is God who sends the breezes that raise clouds, then spreads them over the sky as He please, fold on fold, then you see the drops of rain issue from between them. When He sends it down to those of His creatures as He will, they are filled with joy, (48) Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair. (49) So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. (50) Yet if We send a wind and they see their harvest turn yellow, they will then begin to deny [Our favours]. (51) So verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they turn away in flight. (52) Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). (53)
