Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? (67) Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" (68) Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." (69) And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. (70) They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." (71) Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." (72) And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." (73) Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. (74) There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. (75) Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. (76) And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. (77) Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, (78) Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. (79) Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. (80) Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. (81) ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. (82)
