The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. (1) A guidance and good news for the believers, (2) Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. (3) Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray. (4) They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. (5) And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing. (6) When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.' (7) But when he reached it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! (8) “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” (9) “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” (10) as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. (11) "And put your hand into your bosom, it will come forth white without hurt. (These are) among the nine signs (you will take) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people, they are a people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (12) But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" (13) They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! (14)
