The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear; (1) A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. (2) Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. (3) Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. (4) Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. (5) You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. (6) When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' (7) When he came up to it, a voice called out, "Blessed be whoever is near this fire, and whoever is around it! Glory be to God, Lord of the Universe! (8) O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! (9) “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” (10) and neither need anyone who has done wrong and then has replaced the wrong with good: for, verily, I am much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! (11) "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." (12) But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said: 'This is plain sorcery.' (13) And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! (14)
