In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. (1) They are glad news and guidance for the believers (2) who perform the prayer, and pay the alms, and have sure faith in the Hereafter. (3) As for those who do not believe in the Everlasting Life, We have decorated for them their works, and they wander blindly. (4) Such are those for whom there is an evil punishment, and in the Everlasting Life are the greatest losers. (5) And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. (6) (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." (7) So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; (8) "O Musa (Moses)! Verily! It is I, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (9) And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. (10) except he who has done evil, then, after evil, has changed into good. I am the Forgiving, Most Merciful. (11) "And put your hand into your bosom, it will come forth white without hurt. (These are) among the nine signs (you will take) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people, they are a people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (12) Then when Our signs came unto them illuminating, they said: this is a magic manifest. (13) They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! (14)
