The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Clear Book; (1) it is guidance and good news for the believers (2) who pray regularly and pay obligatory alms and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (3) Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; (4) those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. (5) And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. (6) (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." (7) But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds. (8) O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise. (9) “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” (10) except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. (11) And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. (12) But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" (13) And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. (14)
