The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book (1) A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- (2) Who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter. (3) We have made those who do not believe in the Hereafter feel their actions appear good to them, so they wander blindly: (4) those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. (5) And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing. (6) Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves". (7) So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” (8) Moses, it is I, Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. (9) And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear. (10) “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) (11) And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. (12) But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" (13) And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers. (14)
