The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; (1) it is guidance and good news for the believers (2) Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. (3) As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. (4) Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. (5) You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. (6) When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves. (7) When he came up to it, a voice called out, "Blessed be whoever is near this fire, and whoever is around it! Glory be to God, Lord of the Universe! (8) O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise. (9) And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; (10) Excepting any who may have done wrong and thereafter changeth evil for good then verily I am Forgiving, Merciful. (11) "And put your hand into your bosom, it will come forth white without hurt. (These are) among the nine signs (you will take) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people, they are a people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (12) But when Our Signs came to them, that should have opened their eyes, they said: "This is sorcery manifest!" (13) And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers! (14)
