The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen*; these are verses of the Qur’an and the clear Book. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) (1) A guidance and good tidings for believers (2) Who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter. (3) Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; (4) Such are those for whom there is an evil punishment, and in the Everlasting Life are the greatest losers. (5) You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. (6) (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." (7) And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! (8) O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (9) Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence, (10) save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. (11) Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." (12) But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; (13) And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers.
