The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Sin. These are verses from the Quran, a book that makes things clear; (1) a guidance and glad tidings to believers, (2) who establish Prayer and give Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (3) As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on. (4) Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. (5) And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. (6) [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." (7) When he approached the fire, he was told, "Blessed is the one in the fire and those around it. All glory belongs to God, the Lord of the Universe. (8) O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." (9) Throw down your staff." But when he saw it moving like a snake, he turned and fled. "Moses, do not be afraid! The messengers need have no fear in My presence; (10) save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. (11) Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." (12) But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; (13) and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! (14)
