The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Clear Book; (1) a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers (2) who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. (3) Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly. (4) It is they for whom a grievous chastisement lies in store; it is they who shall be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. (5) And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. (6) (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." (7) So when he reached it, it was proclaimed, “Blessed is he who is in the location of the fire (Moosa) and those who are close to it (the angels); and Purity is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation.” (8) O Musa! verily it is I, Allah, the Mighty the Wise! (9) Cast down thy staff.' And when he saw it quivering like a serpent he turned about, retreating, and turned not back. 'Moses, fear not; surely the Envoys do not fear in My presence, (10) "Except him who has done wrong and afterwards has changed evil for good, then surely, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (11) And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. (12) But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, (13) They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! (14)
