In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a Book luminous. (1) A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. (2) who establish Prayer and give Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (3) Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly. (4) those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. (5) As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. (6) Lo! [While lost in the desert,] Moses said to his family: "Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]; I may bring you from there some tiding [as to which way we are to pursue,] or bring you [at least] a burning brand so that you might warm yourselves." (7) And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! (8) "O Musa (Moses)! Verily! It is I, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (9) Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". (10) Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful. (11) Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." (12) But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" (13) And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. (14)
