The Ant (Al-Naml)
93 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Poets (Alshu'araa') before Stories (Al-Qasas)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaSeen. Those are the verses of the Koran, a clear Book, (1) A guidance and good news for the believers, (2) who establish Prayer and give Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. (3) Those who do not believe in the Hereafter We have made their deeds seem good to them, so they are astray. (4) They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. (5) As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. (6) (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." (7) But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds. (8) Moses, behold, it is I, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. (9) “And put down your staff”; so when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned moving away without looking back; We said, “O Moosa, do not fear; indeed the Noble Messengers do not fear in My presence.” (10) and neither need anyone who has done wrong and then has replaced the wrong with good: for, verily, I am much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! (11) Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." (12) But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic." (13) And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. (14)
