Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
