And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), (192) The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) (193) to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), (194) In plain Arabic language. (195) Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. (196) Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? (197) And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, (198) In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. (199) Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: (200) They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; (201) The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. (202) Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" (203) Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? (204) Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, (205) Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, (206) none of their luxuries will be able to save them from the torment? (207) We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. (208) By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. (209) It was not the satans who brought it down: (210) It behoveth them not, nor they can. (211) The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. (212) So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. (213) And warn your near relations, (214) And take those believers under your wing who follow you. (215) If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." (216) And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, (217) who sees thee when thou standest (218) And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. (219) Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. (220) Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! (221) They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) (222) (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. (223) And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: (224) Do you not see that they wander about in every valley (225) And that they say that which they do not do, (226) Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). (227)
Almighty God's Truth.
