The companions of the thicket denied the messengers (176) when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? (177) I am a trustworthy messenger to you: (178) So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. (179) I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. (180) ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, (181) and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, (182) And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. (183) and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." (184) They said, "You are no more than a bewitched and insane man (185) "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! (186) So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." (187) He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” (188) Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. (189) Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. (190) And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (191)
