'Aad denied the messengers (123) When their brother Hud said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? (124) Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. (125) fear God, then, and obey me. (126) I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. (127) Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, (128) and make for yourselves mighty castles, [hoping] that you might become immortal? (129) When you assault, you assault like tyrants. (130) So fear Allah, and obey me. (131) And fear He who provided you with that which you know, (132) Provided you with grazing livestock and children (133) "And Gardens and Springs. (134) Lo! I fear for you the retribution of an awful day. (135) They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! (136) This is just a habit of antiquated people. (137) "And we are not the ones to receive Pains and Penalties!" (138) So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. (139) And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (140)
