۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." (52) Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: (53) [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; (54) They are always harassing us. (55) “And indeed we are an alert army.” (56) Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs (57) and treasures and a noble station; (58) Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. (59) The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. (60) When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." (61) Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." (62) Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. (63) And We brought near, there, the others. (64) And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. (65) Then We drowned the others. (66) Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. (67) And indeed your Lord only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. (68)
