The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) (1) These are the verses of a Book luminous. (2) (O Muhammad), you will perhaps grieve yourself to death because these people do not believe. (3) If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. (4) But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. (5) They will soon come to know the truth of that which they have been scoffing at. (6) Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? (7) Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. (8) And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. (9)
