Have you not considered (the work of) your Lord, how He extends the shade? And if He had pleased He would certainly have made it stationary; then We have made the sun an indication of it (45) Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp. (46) And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again. (47) It is He who loosens the winds, bearing glad tidings before the Hands of His Mercy, and We have sent down pure water from the heaven, (48) That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof. (49) And indeed We have distributed it (rain or water) amongst them in order that they may remember the Grace of Allah, but most men refuse (or deny the Truth or Faith) and accept nothing but disbelief or ingratitude. (50) Had it been Our will, We could have raised a warner in every village. (51) So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving. (52) ۞ It is He who has joined the two seas; one palatable and sweet, the other bitterly salty and has established a barrier between them as a partition. (53) And it is He who hath created man from water, and then made for him kinship by blood and marriage. And thy Lord is ever potent. (54) But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. (55) And We have not sent you but as a giver of good news and as a warner. (56) Say: "For this, no reward do I ask of you - [no reward] other than that he who so wills may unto his Sustainer find a way!" (57) Put your trust in the One who is the Ever-Living [God], who never dies, and glorify Him with His praise. He is fully aware of the sins of His servants; (58) Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He is firmly established on the throne of authority; the Beneficent Allah, so ask respecting it one aware. (59) And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. ۩ (60)
