Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens the shadows? Had He pleased, He could have made them constant; then We placed the sun as an indicator for them, (45) thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. (46) It is He who made the night a mantle for you, and sleep for repose; and made the day a time for rising. (47) And it is He who has loosed the winds, bearing good tidings before His mercy; and We sent down from heaven pure water (48) so that We might revive a dead land, and give to drink of it, of that We created, cattle and men a many. (49) We have explained it to them in diverse ways, so that they may take heed, but most persist in their ingratitude. (50) Now had We so willed, We could have [continued as before and] raised up a [separate] warner in every single community: (51) So do not listen to the disbelievers and, with this Qur’an, fight a great war against them. (52) ۞ And He it is Who has made two seas to flow freely, the one sweet that subdues thirst by its sweetness, and the other salt that burns by its saltness; and between the two He has made a barrier and inviolable obstruction. (53) It is He who has created the human being from water to have relationships of both lineage and wedlock. Your Lord has all power. (54) And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! (55) And We have not sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) except as a Herald of glad tidings and warnings. (56) Say: "For this, no reward do I ask of you - [no reward] other than that he who so wills may unto his Sustainer find a way!" (57) O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants. (58) Who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between them in six days, then He established Himself on the Throne - the Compassionate! so, concerning Him, ask any one informed. (59) And when it is said unto them: Prostrate to the Beneficent! they say: And what is the Beneficent? Are we to prostrate to whatever thou (Muhammad) biddest us? And it increaseth aversion in them. ۩ (60)
