Hast thou not observed thine lord - how He hath stretched out the shadow? And if He had willed He would have made it still. Then We have made the sun for it an indication. (45) then (as the sun climbs up), We roll it up little by little towards Ourselves. (46) And it is He who hath made for you the night a covering, and the sleep repose, and hath made the day a resurrection. (47) And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies, (48) so that We might revive a dead land, and give to drink of it, of that We created, cattle and men a many. (49) We have indeed turned it about them, so that they remember; yet most people refuse all except disbelief. (50) And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner. (51) So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour. (52) ۞ And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. (53) It is He who has created human beings from water and He has granted them the ties of blood as well as marriage. Your Lord is all powerful. (54) And they (disbelievers, polytheists, etc.) worship besides Allah, that which can neither profit them nor harm them, and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord. (55) And We have not sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) except as a Herald of glad tidings and warnings. (56) Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." (57) And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- (58) It is He who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days and then He established His domination over the Throne. He is the Beneficent God. Refer to Him as the final authority. (59) Yet when they [who are bent on denying the truth are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Most Gracious" they are wont to ask, "And [who and] what is the Most Gracious? Are we to prostrate ourselves before whatever thou biddest us [to worship]?" - and so [thy call] but increases their aversion, ۩ (60)
