۞ But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say: "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" - or, "Why do we not see our Sustainer?" Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled [against God's truth] with utter disdain! (21) The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!" (22) And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust. (23) And for the People of the Garden on that day is a better destination and account, and a better place of afternoon rest. (24) On that Day, the heaven is split asunder with clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, (25) The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers. (26) On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! (27) Oh, would that I had never chosen such a one for my companion -- (28) He indeed led me astray from the Remembrance, after it had come to me; Satan is ever a forsaker of men.' (29) And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” (30) For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! (31) And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. (32) They do not bring to you any parable but that which We bring to you is the truth and better in explanation. (33) Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. (34)
