۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. (21) Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' (22) And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. (23) (On the contrary) only those who have deserved the Garden, will have a good abode on that Day and a cool place for midday rest. (24) And on the day when the heaven shall burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down descending (in ranks). (25) True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. (26) On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! (27) "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! (28) "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." (29) The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." (30) Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. (31) The unbelievers say, 'Why has the Koran not been sent down upon him all at once?' Even so, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have chanted it very distinctly. (32) And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. (33) Those who will be driven headlong into hell will have a terrible dwelling; they have certainly gone astray. (34)
