۞ Those people, who have no fear of coming before Us, say, "Why should not the angels be sent down to us? Or else we should see our Lord. " Great arrogance have they assumed in regard to themselves, and have transgressed all limits in their rebellion. 21 The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." 22 Then We shall turn to what they had done and render it vain like scattered dust. 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. 26 On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! 27 O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend! 28 “He indeed led me astray from the advice that had come to me”; and Satan deserts man, leaving him unaided. 29 The Messenger says, 'O my Lord, behold, my people have taken this Koran as a thing to be shunned.' 30 For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! 31 And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging. 32 And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof). 33 They who shall be gathered prone on their faces unto Hell - those shall be worst in respect of place and the most astray in respect of path. 34
