۞ But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say: "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" - or, "Why do we not see our Sustainer?" Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled [against God's truth] with utter disdain! (21) [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" (22) and We shall take all that they did and turn it into scattered dust. (23) The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. (24) On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups (25) The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. (26) On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! (27) Oh, woe is me! Would that I had not taken so-and-so for a friend! (28) he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." (29) And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” (30) And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid. (31) And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. (32) And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner, (33) Those who will be gathered on their faces unto hell: such are worse in plight and further from the right road. (34)
