۞ And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. (21) The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" (22) We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust. (23) The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. (24) And on the Day on which the skies, together with the clouds, shall burst asunder, and the angels are made to descend in a mighty descent (25) the Kingdom that day, the true Kingdom, shall belong to the All-merciful and it shall be a day harsh for the unbelievers. (26) On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! (27) Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. (28) "He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!" (29) And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” (30) And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. (31) The unbelievers say, 'Why has the Koran not been sent down upon him all at once?' Even so, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have chanted it very distinctly. (32) They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. (33) The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. (34)
