۞ Those who do not hope to meet Us ask: 'Why have no angels been sent to us? Why can we not see our Lord' How proud they are within themselves, and have become greatly disdainful. (21) There will be no good tidings for the guilty on the day they see the angels; and they will cry out, "Keep away, keep away!" (22) And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. (23) The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. (24) The day the heavens splits asunder with a dazzling white cloud gathering and the angels descend in a continuous stream, (25) the true Kingdom on that Day shall belong to the Merciful a harsh day for the unbelievers. (26) And the day when the unjust will gnaw his hands, saying, “Alas, if only I had chosen a way along with the (Noble) Messenger (of Allah)!” (27) Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. (28) "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." (29) The Messenger will say, "Lord, my people did indeed discard the Quran," (30) And this is how We had appointed guilty people as enemies to every Prophet; and Allah is Sufficient, to guide and to aid. (31) And the disbelievers say, “Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” This is how We sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and We read it slowly, in stages. (32) And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner, (33) (As for) those who shall be gathered upon their faces to hell, they are in a worse plight and straying farther away from the path. (34)
