Juz 19
۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. (21) The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" (22) We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust. (23) The dwellers of Paradise (i.e. those who deserved it through their Faith and righteousness) will, on that Day, have the best abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. (24) And on the day when the heaven shall burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels shall be sent down descending (in ranks). (25) on that Day [it will become obvious to all that] true sovereignty belongs to the Most Gracious [alone]: hence, a Day of distress will it be for all who deny the truth, (26) The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. (27) O, woe to me! Would that I had not chosen so and so for a friend! (28) he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." (29) And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. (30) Even so We have appointed to every Prophet an enemy among the sinners; but thy Lord suffices as a guide and as a helper. (31) The disbelievers say, "Why has not the entire Qur'an been sent down to this man all at once?" -Well, this has been done to impress it deeply on your mind, and (for the same object) We have sent it down piecemeal by degrees. (32) And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. (33) Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path. (34)
