Juz 19
۞ Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful. (21) On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! (22) And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered. (23) The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. (24) And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. (25) The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. (26) On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! (27) O woe is me! would that I had not taken such a one for a friend! (28) Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the Shaitan fails to aid man. (29) Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." (30) thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper. (31) The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur'an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly. (32) There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation. (33) Those who will be gathered into Gehenna (Hell) upon their faces shall be in the worst in place, and have gone further astray from the Path. (34)
