۞ Those who do not expect a meeting with Us say, "Why are angels not sent down to us?" Or "Why do we not see our Lord?" Surely, they are too proud of themselves and have greatly exceeded all bounds. (21) The Day whereon they shall behold the angels on that day there will be no joy for the culprits, and they will say: away! away! (22) Then We shall advance upon the work which they have done and render it as scattered dust. (23) (On the contrary) only those who have deserved the Garden, will have a good abode on that Day and a cool place for midday rest. (24) And on the Day on which the skies, together with the clouds, shall burst asunder, and the angels are made to descend in a mighty descent (25) The real Kingdom on that Day will belong only to the Merciful, and it will be a very hard Day for the disbelievers. (26) The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. (27) Would that I had never chosen soandso for my companion! (28) He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." (29) The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." (30) And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the sinners and sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper. (31) And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. (32) Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations. (33) Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. (34)
