۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. (21) [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" (22) And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust. (23) The inhabitants of Paradise that day, better shall be their lodging, fairer their resting-place. (24) The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- (25) The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. (26) It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, "Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. (27) Would that I had never chosen soandso for my companion! (28) Certainly he led me astray from the reminder after it had come to me; and the Shaitan fails to aid man. (29) The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." (30) Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. (31) Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually. (32) And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. (33) Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. (34)
