۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. (21) The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." (22) And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. (23) The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. (24) On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups (25) true sovereignty on that Day will belong to the Gracious One, and it will be a hard Day for those who deny the truth. (26) Upon the day the evildoer shall bite his hands, saying, 'Would that I had taken a way along with the Messenger! (27) Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. (28) For it was he, who had deluded me to reject the Admonition which had come to me. Satan has proved very treacherous to man. " (29) And the Noble Messenger submitted, “O my Lord indeed my people took this Qur’an as worthy of being abandoned.” (30) Thus, from the sinful people We made enemies for every Prophet. Your Lord is a Sufficient Guide and Helper. (31) The unbelievers have said, "Why was the whole Quran not revealed to him at once?" We have revealed it to you in gradual steps to strengthen your hearts and give you explanations. (32) And (there is another wisdom in this: whenever they brought to you an odd thing (or a strange question), We sent its right answer to you in time and explained it all in the best manner, (33) Those who shall be mustered to Gehenna upon their faces -- they shall be worse in place, and gone further astray from the way. (34)
