۞ But those who do not believe that they are destined to meet Us are wont to say: "Why have no angels been sent down to us?" - or, "Why do we not see our Sustainer?" Indeed, they are far too proud of themselves, having rebelled [against God's truth] with utter disdain! (21) [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" (22) We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust. (23) On that Day, the companions of Paradise (will have) a better abode and a finer restingplace. (24) On that day the sky will be crystal blue, clear of clouds. The angels will descend in groups (25) and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. (26) On the Day when the wrong-doer shall gnaw his hands saying: would that I had taken with the apostle a way! (27) Ah! woe unto me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! (28) He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." (29) And the Apostle cried out: O my Lord! surely my people have treated this Quran as a forsaken thing. (30) Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. (31) Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually. (32) There is not an example they advance to which We do not give you a right answer and a better explanation. (33) Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path. (34)
