۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. (21) There will be no good tidings for the guilty on the day they see the angels; and they will cry out, "Keep away, keep away!" (22) And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust. (23) The inhabitants of Paradise that day, better shall be their lodging, fairer their resting-place. (24) On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, (25) The dominion on that Day shall be the true dominion of the Compassionate, and it shall be a day upon the infidels hard. (26) The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger! (27) "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! (28) "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." (29) And the Messenger will say, "O my Lord, my people had made this Qur'an the object of their ridicule." (30) For so it is that against every prophet We have set up enemies from among those who are lost in sin: yet none can guide and give succour as thy Sustainer does! (31) And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. (32) And they come not unto thee with a similitude but We bring thee the truth and an excellent interpretation. (33) The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. (34)
