۞ And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence. (21) [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" (22) And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. (23) The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. (24) On that Day, a cloud will appear rending the sky and the angels will be senthi down rank after rank. (25) true sovereignty on that Day will belong to the Gracious One, and it will be a hard Day for those who deny the truth. (26) The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. (27) "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! (28) "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Quran) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need." (29) AND [on that Day] the Apostle will say: "O my Sustainer! Behold, [some of] my people have come to regard this Qur'an as something [that ought to be] discarded!" (30) Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. (31) The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur'an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly. (32) Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations. (33) Those who shall be mustered to Gehenna upon their faces -- they shall be worse in place, and gone further astray from the way. (34)
