۞ And those who fear not the meeting with Us say: wherefore are not angels sent down unto us or wherefore we see not our Lord! Assuredly they have proven stiff-necked in their souls and have exceeded the bounds with excess great. 21 There will be no good tidings for the guilty on the day they see the angels; and they will cry out, "Keep away, keep away!" 22 We shall call their deeds into Our presence and scatter them into the air as dust (turn them devoid of all virtue). 23 The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels! 26 The sinner will then bite his hand and say: "Would that I had taken the road with the Prophet. 27 Oh, would that I had never chosen such a one for my companion -- 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging. 32 and [that] they [who deny the truth] might never taunt thee with any deceptive half-truth without Our conveying to thee the [full] truth and [providing thee] with the best explanation. 33 They who shall be gathered prone on their faces unto Hell - those shall be worst in respect of place and the most astray in respect of path. 34
