The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
77 verses, revealed in Mecca after Y S (Yaa Seen) before Initiator (Faater)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the peoples. (1) The One to Whom belongs the kingship of the heavens and of the earth, and has not chosen a child, and has no partner in His kingship, and He has created everything and kept it in proper measure. (2) Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. (3) And those who disbelieve say: this is naught but a falsehood that he hath fabricated and there have assisted him therein other people; so surely they have aimed at a wrong and a fraud. (4) And they say: "These are fables of antiquity he has invented, which are dictated to him morning and evening." (5) Say: He has revealed it Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth; surely He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. (6) They also say: 'How is it that this Messenger eats food and walks about the markets? Why has no angel been sent down with him to warn us? (7) Or a treasure should have been given to him, or he should have had an orchard from which he could eat." And these wicked people say: "You only follow a man ensorcelled." (8) See what likenesses do they apply to you, so they have gone astray, therefore they shall not be able to find a way. (9)
