77 verses, revealed in Mecca after Y S (Yaa Seen) before Initiator (Faater)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blest be He who hath revealed the Criterion unto His bondman that he may be unto the worlds a warner. (1) Sovereign of the heavens and the earth, who has begotten no children and who has no partner in His sovereignty, it is He who has created all things and measured them out precisely. (2) Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. (3) Those who have rejected the Message of the Prophet, say, "This (Al-Furgan) is a forgery which this man himself has devised, and some others have helped him at it. " What a cruel injustice and an impudent lie! (4) They say, "It is just fables of the ancients, which he has had written down. They are dictated to him morning and evening." (5) Say: 'It was sent down by Him who knows the secrets of heavens and earth. He is Forgiving, the Most Merciful. (6) They say, "Why does this Messenger eat food, and walk in the streets? Why has not an angel been sent to him so that they could preach the message together? (7) Or (why is not) a treasure sent down to him, or he is made to have a garden from which he should eat? And the unjust say: You do not follow any but a man deprived of reason. (8) See to what they liken thee, [O Prophet, simply] because they have gone astray and are now unable to find a way to the truth]! (9)
