The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
77 verses, revealed in Mecca after Y S (Yaa Seen) before Initiator (Faater)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He who has sent down the Criterion to His worshiper (Prophet Muhammad), that he is a warner to all mankind; (1) He to Whom belongs the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth: Who has begotten no son: Who has no partner in His Sovereignty: Who created each and every thing and then ordained its destiny. (2) Yet they have chosen for themselves other deities besides Him, who do not create anything but rather are themselves created, who have no power over their own benefits, or trouble, and who have no control over life, death, and resurrection. (3) The unbelievers say, "This (Quran) is no more than a slanderous statement which he (Muhammad), with the help of some other people, has falsely invented." Certainly, this statement is unjust and sinful. (4) They have also said, "It, (the Quran), is only ancient legends, which were written down while they were dictated to him in the mornings and the evenings". (5) Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful." (6) They say, "What sort of a Messenger is he that he eats food and moves about in the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to accompany him and threaten (the disbelievers)? (7) Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched. (8) See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path. (9)
