The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
77 verses, revealed in Mecca after Y S (Yaa Seen) before Initiator (Faater)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ BLESSED IS HE who revealed the Criterion (of right and wrong) to His votary that it may be a warning for the world, -- (1) To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He has not begotten any sons, nor does He have any partner in His kingdom. He has created all things with precisely accurate planning. (2) And yet, some choose to worship, instead of Him, imaginary deities that cannot create anything but are themselves created, and have it not within their power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, themselves, and have no power over death, nor over life, nor over resurrection! (3) Yet the unbelievers say: "This is nothing but a lie he has concocted in which others have aided him." They have come down to mischief and lies. (4) And they say: "These are fables of antiquity he has invented, which are dictated to him morning and evening." (5) Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), “It is sent down by Him Who knows all the secrets of the heavens and the earth; indeed He Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful." (6) And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him? (7) Or why is not a treasure thrown to him, or why has he not a Garden to eat of?' The evildoers say, 'You are only following a man bewitched!' (8) See to what they liken thee, [O Prophet, simply] because they have gone astray and are now unable to find a way to the truth]! (9)
