Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- (93) then do not place me, Lord, with the wrongdoers." (94) And indeed We are Able to show you (O Muhammad SAW) that with which We have threatened them. (95) Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. (96) And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. (97) and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' (98) Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, (99) "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. (100) And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. (101) Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: (102) and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, (103) The fire shall scorch their faces, and they will remain dejected in it. (104) Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. (105) They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. (106) Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." (107) He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. (108) "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' (109) But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. (110) Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' (111) And He will ask: 'How many years did you live on earth' (112) They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." (113) He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. (114) "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" (115) Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. (116) Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! (117) (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. (118)
